Hello friends.
Last autumn I went on a band camp. I purchased a Casio CTS-400 keyboard in the hopes that I could take it with me in the cabin of the plane. But nope! It was 5 CM too long! Now I am going on band camp again, and I have downsized further. This time I got hold of a Yamaha PSS-f30. It fits in my backpack! And the backpack is going on the plane. BASTA! The styles are fantastic, and there is a whole lot of them. Only 37 keys, no touch response, you cannot use it as a MIDI controller. But it is a Yamaha, and it fits in my backpack.

I really look forward to airport security scrutinizing this brightly colored kid's keyboard and then looking at this 63 years old (read young) lady, and wondereing what this is all about :) Another keyboard in my "collection." And you don't have fun if you don't make it yourself!

When I read this I was reminded of a story about the legendary Scottish entertainer, Chic Murray. He was standing in a long check-in line at Glasgow airport some years ago, when he turned to his wife and said  "I wish I had brought my piano with me". His astonished wife replied, "don't be stupid, how could you possibly bring a piano on a plane".
"I  know" said Chic "but I wish I had brought it".
" What a stupid idea" said his wife, "we are going on vacation, why would we need a piano!".
"Well" said Chic, " it would have been really handy....... because I left the tickets and passports on top of it! "

The bandcamp was so fun, it was all that I dreamed of and then some! But the instructors had all the instruments we wanted, the first day I played keyboard, a Roland of some sort, not new, but it worked. The rest of the week I played accordion. We were divided into 2 bands, and we had a concert at the end. So my little friend the PSS-f30 stayed mostly in my suitcase. I use it when I have a melody in my head that I want to try out, but am to lazy to fire up the Genos :)
