StyleMagic Upgrade

FYI...
I received an email from mididsoft about a StyleMagic upgrade.  I have 2 dongles for StyleMagic and had to pay for only one upgrade for the 2 licensed copies. The price is 17.71 EUR or $20.04 USD.  I found I had to uninstall v3.5.0 and reinstall v3.5.0 then run the v3.6.3 update.  I found these improvements to be worthwhile.  If interested you can find a demo version of StyleMagic 3.6.3 download on Thomas's website. The upgrade is about 1/3 the price of a new license full copy.

If you decide to buy the upgrade, you will first download the ordersoft.exe program... be sure to click the MODE tab at the top of the screen and select Subscription. You will see a field requiring an ID.  You may have to contact Thomas ahead of time for the ID.  I paid with PayPal, this is the best option.

Improvements in Update StyleMagic v3.6.3

     Multieditor - added visualization and support for individual Time signature in style sections,

     Multieditor - added preview and editing of META events (Sequence Name, Text, Lyric, Copyright, Tempo, Time signature, Key signature),

I have received the upgrade too (version 3.6.3).
The installation has been correctly done without uninstalling the earlier version 3.5.0.

A few weeks before I also have recieved an upgrade for MidiWorks YA (version 3.4.1).

Both upgrades were free for me, because my license was not yet expiered (< 1 year).

I'm not sure why I had to uninstall then reinstall v3.5.0.  When I first tried to do the update, the update file created a new folder titled StyleMagic Update.  When I tried to boot the program the screen flash for a second then disappeared as if the was no dongle connected. When I reinstalled v3.5.0 everything worked perfect.  The update file over-wrote v3.5.0 to v3.6.3.

I reported my experience to Thomas, here was his response.

Hi Joe,

No, the update does not work on its own with any key.
You install the full version first, then reinstall the update. Depending on which full version you use, it will work with a specific key after the update.
