Here I am once again asking for help. I am unclear about the use of System Exclusive. I saw a youtube video of an expert who indicates the following data to be entered into the sy*** midi track:
GM System On : F0, 7E, 7F, 09,01, F7
XG Works On : F0, 43, 10, 4C, 00, 00, 7E, 00, F7
Yamaha : F0, 43, 73, 39, 11, 00, 46, 00, F7

On your advice, I am studying on the pdf " Yamaha Keyboards - Style Creation Course" found on Jososoft.dk which suggests these data instead:

GM System On : F0, 7E, 7F, 09,01, F7;
XG Works On : F0 43 76 1A 10 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 F7
Yamaha: F0, 43, 73, 39, 11, 00, 46, 00, F7

Which are the exact ones to enter into the sy*** midi track for my GENOS 2? Are there any others that I should enter? Where can I find clarification on these parameters?

Thank you all.

I'm not some Sy*** expert, but maybe you should tell what are you working on. That is, the reason why you wish to enter these commands manually?
I say that because when we record midi song on keyboard, then all relevant Sy*** commands are automatically inserted into resulting midi file.

These days, when I create a style for Genos, I insert the following Sy*** commands in the first measure (the set-up measure):

F0 7E 7F 09 01 F7              GM Reset

F0 43 10 4C 00 00 7E 00 F7     XG System ON

F0 43 10 4C 02 01 00 04 20 F7  Reverb Type

F0 43 10 4C 02 01 20 42 08 F7  Chorus Type

F0 43 10 4C 03 00 0C 08 F7     Insert Part Assign
F0 43 10 4C 03 01 0C 09 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 02 0C 0A F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 03 0C 0B F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 04 0C 0C F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 05 0C 0D F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 06 0C 0E F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 07 0C 0F F7

F0 43 10 4C 03 00 00 0A 10 F7  Insert Effect Type
F0 43 10 4C 03 01 00 53 21 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 02 00 53 25 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 03 00 63 11 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 04 00 7C 05 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 05 00 53 20 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 06 00 4F 00 F7
F0 43 10 4C 03 07 00 40 00 F7

Of course, you should replace the Effect Type values to select the desired DSP effect type.

This is now my standard style preamble. Please remember Genos 1 and 2 support one insert effect per style part. PSRs support fewer.

We don't really know what a few of those Yamaha-specific messages (e.g., F0, 43, 39, 11, ...) are doing because Yamaha have never documented them publicly.

Hope this helps -- pj

Many thanks guys. You have been very helpful, but I remain a little bit with doubts....  Unfortunately, I can't find anything specific re these parameters. However, I noticed that the styles (by changing the extension from .sty to .mid) contain a bunch of these parameters. Anyway thanks anyway you are great
