On my old PSR S770 i can assign volume of any part I like i.e song ,style M.pad, etc to the volume pedal.

On the genos 2 it is assigned to one of the dials but I cant seem to assign it to volume pedal? I can the  volume of a voice but that seesm to be all.

I am missing something? This seems a back wards step to me?

Thanks

Make sure you have ticks in what you want your volume pedal to use.

Hi musicman100,

With PSR-SX models and Genos1/2, assigning functions to foot pedals works a little differently than with PSR-S and Tyros models.

Please press the "Direct Access" button on Genos2 and then briefly move the connected volume pedal up/down to open the Assignable display (or press "Menu > Menu1 > Assignable"). Make sure that the "Volume" function is set for the foot pedal in question (usually #3) and that this field is now selected (orange frame). Then you will see the so-called "detailed settings" at the bottom of the Assignable display, i.e. checkboxes for all parts that the volume pedal can affect. Make sure that the boxes you want are ticked here (as already mentioned by Eileen).

See also the attached screenshot.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Hi musicman100,

The Score Setting cannot be saved in Registrations, but only directly in the relevant MIDI file.

On PSR-S770 this is done into "Song Creator > Setup". There you make sure that the top 7 checkboxes ("Voice" to "EQ") are ticked and also tick "Score Setting". Press SONG STOP button to make sure the song position is at the beginning. Press "Apply" to write the score setting to the MIDI file and then "Save" to resave the file.

On Genos2, press the "Recording" button to bring up the "Song Recording Menu". Here touch "MIDI Multi Recording" and touch the STOP button () to make sure the song position is at the beginning ("001.1"). Touch the "Setup" icon to enter the "Setup" pop-up. Here make sure that the top 7 boxes ("Voice" to "EQ") are ticked and also tick "Score Setting". Touch "Execute" and then "Close". Now touch the "Save" icon to resave the MIDI file.

Please also see the attached screenshots.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
