Hello dear friends,

Possessing a Genos, I want to loop a "midday" pad.
To make this pad, I go to Menu 2 -> Midi Multipad Recording-> New pad and I record myself on one of the boxes from 1 to 4 and I activate the Repeat function.
After saving, I listen to the pad and it stops at the end of the phrase and it pauses before resuming. I watched from "Step Edit" the progress of the Pad but I can't understand how this loop can be done.
All indications will be welcome.

All my thanks with my friendships.

The multipad will always start on beat one.

So my best guess is that your phrase isn't filling the bar(s) or that you recorded onto beat one.

For example, if your phrase ends on beat 2, there will be a 2 beat silence (beats 3 and 4) before the multipad starts the repeat on beat one.
If when you recorded your phrase you ended on the first note of the repeated phrase, the multipad won't start the repeat until it gets to beat one of the next bar.

Basically, you have to play until beat 4 (and no more!) to get a clean loop using the multipad.

Not sure what you mean by 'midday' pad, so this might not be the issue.

Hope that was clear enough.

Hello ACParker,

Thank you for your intervention.

Finally, as I wanted, I managed to make a loop with the pad.
This may not be the official way to do it but I did it the following way.
From the MULTI PAD CREATOR and for a 4 beat measure, I made 4 times a DO MI SOL DO arpeggio.
I went to STEP EDIT and I copied on the end line (END) the indications appearing on the penultimate line and then I erased it (DELETE). I saved (SAVE).
There must be other ways to do it but this pad seems to work fine.

Once again, all my thanks with my friendships
