PSR SX900 'Brass Shake'

'Brass shake' in preset 'Brass (P6)' seems to work on only in one octave (0) for all other octaves using the joystick just changes the Volume. Is it a permanent feature ? Is there any other setup for getting the shakes in all the octaves?
