Hello,

I downloaded Rikki's Style Collection for SX900 and have tried several on my Genos. Most sound very good but the volumes of the style voices need tweaking.  There are several styles that are "audio styles".  They are much larger than regular styes and take a few seconds to load. They sound very good too.  I can't remember which Yamaha keyboards I have owned that had these audio styles. I don't remember much discussion about them. Have I missed something somewhere ??  Thanks.  -charley

Audio styles are supported on PSR S950, S970, S975, SX900 as well as Tyros 5 and Genos.

These styles have a audio (wave) loop playing the percussion parts rather than using MIDI percussion. It was intended to give the style more of a 'live' feeling. Only the percussion part is an audio loop, because the style format doesn't support real-time transposing the loops which you would need it any of the other parts used audio.

While Genos still supports them, you have to load them in as an addition because Genos uses the 'Revo' drums in its preset styles instead. These parts use round-robin sampling to make the percussion parts less repetitive. This suggests that Yamaha have decided audio styles were a bit of a dead-end.

Yes I agree but you can still download the Audio styles from the Yamaha download site and use.
