"Why can't Yamaha..... "
This question has been raised quite many time on this forum. With some firmware upgrades, Yamaha keyboards can be much more useful for one man band players.

Yamaha keyboards provides Style Creator feature to allow user to create a new style or to modify intros/ending of a style but it is quite a painful process.
Why can't Yamaha keyboard take MIDI song(s) and integrate these in a style intro/ending. These MIDI songs are recorded using this same style. From the software point of view, it would be quite easy task to accomplish on board.

I know there are computer software developed by expert members in this forum to help with this task.
(I am using them at present time).

@tyros2009 - It is true that the Style also contains MIDI data, but in order for it to work properly, it needs an additional "engine". It's called CASM. Yamaha has never said what this acronym means, let alone revealed the specification of the entire algorithm that comes from this name. So you shouldn't be surprised why he doesn't want to incorporate the ability to make a Style from MIDI into a keyboard. I don't think he'll ever do that.

From experience I can say that it is easier to make your own Style from scratch than to "extract" it from a MIDI file. I made two videos about it and I know why I claim this. To create a good Style, you first need a lot of knowledge. If you are only interested in INTRO that would compensate for the more complex introductions to the song or INTRO that would play the SOLO section instead of you, my suggestion is that it is better to play MIDI and use markers.

@tyrosman - The software is called "midi2style", and the same work can be done with "Style Works XT".
These are the videos I mentioned.

StyleMagicYA is the software I bought to convert MIDI to styles.
It also contains a section manager which allow for : delete a section, copy one section to another, etc... much easier to do than doing these onboard.
