Hi jimbell52,

yes, just switch off ACMP and switch on the LEFT part (for the Bass voice). If necessary, adjust the Left Split Point (press [Direct Access] > [Sync Start]).

Note: To save everything to a Registration, you have at least to tick the boxes STYLE (for the Left Voice and the Left Split Point) as well as VOICE and HARMONY/ARPEGGIO (!). The latter is also necessary if the Harmony/Arpeggio function is not used, namely to ensure that this function is switched OFF by the relevant Registration, if it was used before.

If you want to play with Style, but still want to play the Bass manually, you can switch on the "Manual Bass" function (in the Split Point display) and set the "Chord Detection Area" to "Upper". (See also the attached picture.)

Best regards,
Chris

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Another way worth trying is to set the mode to "AI full keyboard". Select a style that is mostly simple bass and drums then if needed use the mixer to silence any other instrument, and if required even the drums. Now you can play piano two hands,  full keyboard and the arranger provides the bass for you.
