If you create videos to share on YouTube, you may have concerns about the length of videos and the effect of length on audience response.

Perhaps I'm not being attentive enough to the article; at first look it seems that there is actually no information given by YouTube itself, just some thoughts and observations by a blogger.

Personally I would say that nowadays it's pretty hard to get views on YouTube as it looks like unless you reach a certain popularity, YouTube won't be recommending your videos which means that the rules are different for those who is already in the game and those who just starts playing.

I'm saying it because I know how it used to be before YouTube has changed its algorithms, after that it looks like I got 10 times less views than I used to get.

Doubt this really matters to most of our members, because the  few that post tube videos will normally post song performances which by their nature are always short - about 3 mins or less. There might be few who do tutorials and 'how to' type videos where this might matter, but not many.
