It's important to keep in mind that Win11 has not been released in final form, and ready today  --- it's still all in "beta testing" mode.
Developers and "Windows Insiders" received the first cut of the software, and the general public can try it out (if they so choose!) in another week or so.

And this continues to be a moving target, Microsoft quickly started back-pedaling on the hardware requirements, and pulled their PC health checker app.
After reading a lot of the techie forums, it appears that the software driver system is the same as Win10, so audio interfaces "should" work OK. But there are always unknowns and surprises, so as many here have stated.......  let the beta testers pull out their hair, and wait to upgrade if your PC qualifies until after the dust settles.  LOL 8)

I'll pass along the latest article (July 4) which I think, is a very clear headed, and realistic, summary of the current status, and seems quite fair and balanced from both sides, and not overly technical.        https://www.xda-developers.com/windows-11-defending-system-requirements/

Hi

I am prepared for changes, but my computer still complies to the coming Windows 11 standard
My Focusrite drivers may fail, but i am still on the first generation as the company kept up with the drivers compatibility.
Well the unit is 5 years old , so for another £200 for a new one seems fair enough.
Software will always have to be updated and will cost to keep up with the times.
As someone said , "You can't take it with you"
Think of the money that you have saved by staying at home during covid. ::)

I always thought that the Genos speakers were like a pair of kids toy speakers, so i spent £1000 on a Yamaha brand new self active ones.
These hold a 5 year guarantee and will last well over 10years. The quality is astounding.
By my reckoning i will save in the long run as the next three Genos, i will not have to fork out for the speaker package and by then a £1000 would be spent.
I found it a no brainer to get decent stuff. Always worth it :)
