Australia that is.  8)

Even though I must have been looking at this website some time in the past I did not appreciate it's value. It's great with lots of useful information particularly for a beginner like me.  ;D

I'm a 70YO wannabe piano player, should have learned music when I was a lot younger but opted to learn electronics instead, now I have a lot more "spare time" so back to the keyboard.

I have a Yamaha PSR-EW410 and I love it, unfortunately the music only reaches my wrists and doesn't go down to the finger too well, I'll see a doctor about that....... ;)

When I got to 70 I found its not just your fingers which won't respond to messages from your brain- it's almost everything. If your doc in Australia has a cure for that there might be a lot of us on a plane.

Hi John,
I did the same, I always wanted to play keyboard but learned radio and tv engineering so I started in my seventies to learn music
I live in Gymea Bay nsw
Good luck,

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

I got this reply  ;) the only thing I did this morning (apart from adding my beautiful avatar....) was to check the box "Allow users to email me", that must have fixes it.

Roger Brenizer

You also placed a "Check Mark" in "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic", in Notification Settings.  That's what triggered the response, John.

Another neat way which doesn't keep sending you email is to log in, then hit the 'show new replies to your posts' at the top left. But I would say most members just log in and quickly scan down the opening page of  recent posts, (which should be how your forum opens up if you bookmark at that page) to see what posts interest them. And if you mark it to stay logged in you just hit the bookmark icon and you open up already logged in.

I just click on NOTIFY at the bottom of the post and then I get an email telling me that a reply has been posted to this thread
