Hi everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has any experience of using MixMaster
https://psrtutorial.com/MB/mixMaster.html

I can't get the mixer in it to control the mixer on my PSR-s670.
My DAW can so its something within the Mixmaster software.

I can get Mixmaster to play a MIDI file through my keyboard and it can change the sounds on particular channels
Thanks for help

It must be meant to, what else would the mixer be for?

Hi Richard,

for some reason, the Mixer of MixMaster obviously uses Port 2 of the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver.

You can do as stated on page 35 of the MixMaster Manual: Call up the GUI of the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver set both "Out 1" and "Out 2" to the "1" bus. (See also the attached picture.)

- Make sure that the keyboard is connected to the PC via a USB type AB cable (and the keyboard is switched on) and the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver (V3.1.4) is installed on the PC.

- On the PC, press [Windows] + R keys, enter the word "control" and press [Enter] key to open the Windows "Control Panel".

- Double-click on "Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver (WDM)" and set "Out 1" and "Out 2" to the "1" bus as already mentioned.

- On the keyboard, depress Function > MIDI and confirm that it is set to the Preset MIDI template "All Parts".

- Start MixMaster and in Setup > Select MidiDevice, select Digital Workstation -1. (Digital Workstation -2 will not work.)

Best regards,
Chris

● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

That's great thanks Chris, I will try it tomorrow.

From what I understand. He wanted it to work in real time.

The USB-MIDI Driver (V3.1.4) is an old one I suppose, it is from 2015

At the Yamaha site I find the latest is V2.0.4 for Windows and V2.0.5 for Mac
