Hi ALL,

Is it possible to send midi messages from cakewalk to my Yamaha SX700 to change variations, voices and drum fills ,?

Where is the best place to look for such info

Hi,

If you know how to send MIDI messages from Cakewalk, the parameters and values you need are found within the SX900/700 Data List.

If you can't find the parameters in the document, there's a chance the SX700 will output thee needed data when its buttons are operated. To check the MIDI that is sent from your keyboard, a monitoring app like MIDIox will be very useful.

Hi,
MIDIox is a good choice. The data sent by the SX700 can also be viewed using the MixMaster.

Some parameters need to be set for communication between SX and Cakewalk. You can see the procedure in this video.
