Hi folks
I'm new to this forum and completely green to the workings of this contraption.
On a good day I'd describe myself as a novice piano player (not enough confidence to call myself a pianist). I had £700 of Christmas and birthday money so I bought a PSR S770.
I can work the demo button ok but please somebody point me in the right direct for good tutorials as most seem to skip the very basics.
Example. How do you exit the registration memory and return to the home page. I know its a good piece of kit but its so frustrating to the point I had it listed on eBay a few days ago but my son has convinced me otherwise.
Id be grateful for any tip, hints, be it buy a triangle, anything.

Best of luck
Hope you and your family's are safe and well in these strange times.

Example. How do you exit the registration memory and return to the home page.
PRESS EXIT BUTTON.

Don't get frustrated as there are many - many people here to help you.
Suggest you search YouTube for Yamaha PSR Video Tutorials.
Plus Top of this page click LESSONS.

PS. Excellent advice from your son...give him some bonus points

Hi Gerard,
the "lessons" page is here if you are having trouble to spot it:
https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/index.html

Keep in mind that s770 works the same as s750/s950/s970/A 3000 and Tyros models.
So you can seaech videos on Youtube for whatever bothers you.
E.g.: "Yamaha Tyros/s970 Mixing Console".
Genos/SX700/SX900 work almost the same way too but instead of buttons the have a touch screen.

Arranger keyboards can do many things or should I say we want them to do many things that is why there are so many functions.

and a site for piano chords and their inversions:
https://www.8notes.com/piano_chord_chart/C.asp
There is also list that you can search for every chord inside the keyboard's menu.

Remember that the original purpose of this website was to do exactly what you're asking - provide tutorials on how to use the PSR keyboards

https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/start/index.html

Pretty much everything you'll find there applies to your S770 as well as older models. Ignore anything that mentions SX or Genos because they have a different interface.

To get started with voices, read the top section of this page them skip to about 1/2 way down for "Selecting voices on PSR and Tyros"

https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/start/s35_voices.html

Same for selecting style here

https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/start/s40_styles.html

And to use the style

https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/start/s45_stylecontrol.html
https://psrtutorial.com/lessons/start/s50_fingering.html

Thanks folks for the great input.
Didn't realise Yamaha arrangers had similar traits. Must admit you are an informed bunch. Really do appreciate all and anything you can send my way.
Reluctantly I will pass on your wish words to my son although Ill probably never let me hear the end of it.
I have a fortnight off over Christmas so I will try and wrestle this thing into submission.
Thanks again folks.
Stay safe and I hope you and your families have a great Christmas.

Best of luck
Gerard
