Anyone know if an FC5 Pedal can be used for Harmony Control (on/off) in the Pedal 2 position?

Just want to ensure I don't need to buy another FC4A pedal.

Thx,
NASAMike

Hi NASAMike,

FC4 / FC4A and FC5 are electrically identical: It's just a momentary switch. The electrical contact is normally open (and closes when you step on the pedal).

So you can use an FC5 as well as an FC4A.

There is a functional difference though. With sustain you want sustain on when you press, and off on release. With harmony you want press once for on and press again for off.

Hi Mike,

these "differences" are automatically controlled by the internal software of the keyboard. You always have to use "momentary switch" Foot Pedals.
