How many keyboards do you own now?

This is just a lightweight discussion.

I wonder how many keyboards a typical person may own at any one time. A reasonable number seems to be 2. But are there more?

Thanks,

beykock

For me one keyboard is more than enough. ;)

I have 4 actually.

One is older than me that my grand mother gave to me at age 8. It has chord buttons and maybe 2 octaves of keys. I just never had the heart to pitch it out. Then I picked up two Casio keyboards which are now over 30 years old, I used to lay down simple backing tracks to play my guitar along with and just have never pitched them out either. These 3 are stashed down in the basement boxed up and lost down there.

Yea, so really just my PSR-S950 is the only one I need and use. Heck, it will do everything possible, I won't need another keyboard until I wear this one out. ;)

I have only had two at any one time. I always used to have a flagship Yamaha and a Flagship Technics and would copy the styles from one to the other via Que Base which in those days was quite easy to do. I now have Genos for home play and SX900 for taking out as it is a lot easier to carry.

Only one for me, would love two but home playing only so can't justify the cost.

I have 4 at the moment, a Genos, a Tyros 5, an S975 and a PSR 47!

Eh....EDIT! I have 5! I forgot my beloved PSR-2100. When you loose track its too many :)
The PSR 47 I had for 13 years before upgrading to the PSR 2100. That I had for 14 years before I upgraded to the PSR S970. It broke, so I got the 975 as a replacement. I had to wait a long time for it, so in the meantime I stumbled upon a Tyros5 in very good condition. I was afraid I could not use the touch screen of the Genos due to low vision, and was decided on sticking with the Tyros. But, after trying the Genos several times in our store, I discovered that I could use it and broke down and bought it three months ago. Did I need it? No. Do I enjoy it? YES! Amd being Toril, a hopeless collector, I am not so sure I ever will have the heart to sell my beautiful Tyros. BUT, if I ever by another model, one will have to go, my apartment is FULL!

Too many.  ;D

Some keyboards really are keepers. Maybe the action is terrific, whatever. Realistically, 3 are useful for me: an arranger, a sample-playback synth, and a highly portable mini keyboard for rehearsals.

All the best -- pj

The most number of keyboards I have ever owned at one time, is two. I currently own a Yamaha PSREW 400, and a PSRS750. I am looking forward to upgrading some day. In the meantime, I purchased a usb stick from Joe Watters about a year or so ago, that gave me thousands of new styles for my S750. That has made a huge difference. 🙂

Cheers,
Mark

I have two grand pianos and two CVPs but it's not as silly as it sounds because I have a summer home in Europe and a winter home in Texas, so have duplicated everything in each location for convenience.

Hal-lo!  I have PSR-S950 seven years old. Light to carry when I rehersel  the choirs I am leading.
I have three choirs that I play for. Retired people. I am wating for the next keyboard, because Genos is too heavy and 950 is so easy to use. I have an old organ: Yamaha Electone D65, with a very nostalgic sound. From the 80:s...Not to carry around...
All the best from Jan - Eve.

I currently own 4 Keyboards .  Tyros 3, Tyros 5 (76) Genos and Psr-sx900 .  Some of the Yamaha dealers in my area don't like to do part exchanges , so I
just keep them .   :)
