RGT files

As a Genos and Tyros 5 owner I have got problems to import files from my Genos to my Tyros 5. I have constructed files on my Genos and tried to import them to my Tyros 5. The files had.RGT in the end and the other who worked had .STY. Anyone who knows how I can import the files and use them even on my Tyros 5.

You will need to convert them to Tyros 5 files with my program.

The dtyle files will import without a problem. The rgt. registration files will also import, but will have to be reworked/converted. Just remember that the Yamaha file masking system let you see the files only in the appropriate mode.

I have now tried to convert my older .RGT files to be used on my Tyros 5 and used the Murrays YRM without success. I work with computers every day and have also had help from a friend but withou success. Anyone who can give me a clue to see what we do wrong. We have followed the file "how to convert" but must do anything wrong. We have cretaed files for Source and gool but still no real files. Looking for help ;-).

1. In YRM, Load your registration file.
2. Change the target keyboard (click on the Change box, then select your keyboard).
3. Click on Save/Convert Registration Bank
4. Click on Convert Bank
5. Respond to any warnings provided
6. Click on Save Conversion.
7. Enter a file name
