Hi. This is a silly question maybe, but if I save a midi file from my keyboard Tyros2 and then I am going to edit the same file with a sequencer like Cubase or Mixcraft, when I save again the file and played on the keyboard it doesn't correspond anymore. Is there a program to make small changes in a midi file and then resaving it without any changes in the voices ?
Thank you in advance for any clue.

Many of the voice and DSP parameters are stored in SY***. Make sure that Cubase is not stripping out any SY*** from the midi file.

( I'm not sure how you do that though :) )

Select File > Preferences.
In the Preferences dialog, select MIDI > MIDI Filter and make sure that Sy*** is deactivated in the Record section.
Make sure that the instrument is set to transmit changes of front panel controls as Sy*** messages.
Record.

Normanfernandez  about MixMaster....doesn't have a piano roll view I think. I couldn't find it.
So it is not so easy to edit a midi file like Cubase or Mixcraft Pro studio.

Hello,
I have Genos for year now, I think I know it well but today I was trying to edit a midi file and I couldn't.  Is there a simple easy way to edit voices, volume, etc and save the changes?

It's easy to edit styles using the mixer, I save them in Registrations, the Registration keep all the changes, why I am not able to do the same with midi files?

I was able to change the key for each channel, I was able to delete a channel, I was able to revoice but I can't find a mixer in edit mode MULTI RECORDING that allows me to change the volume of each track.

What am I doing wrong?  I don't remember this to be so difficult on the Tyros 1 and 3

I found the Cubase 7 LE  can do  that with midi files. It has a very good mixer and the piano roll is fantastic.
