Hello,
While there is little, Audacity worked perfectly for some time, and after updates of Windows 7, as soon as I launch it, it makes me a blue screen! I have updated the BIOS of my computer but nothing works, even with the latest version of the app.
Is there anyone who has happened and solved the problem? Especially since if I run Windows in Safe mode, the software starts without problem and causes no blue screen!
so, if any of you have the solution ......!

I have made an analyzing process and here it is the result:

On Wed 29/05/2019 09:46:27 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\052919-257136-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x93AA0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1 (0x778898FA, 0x0, 0xFFFF, 0xFFFFF880075EAB60)
Error: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that there has been a mismatch in the APC state index.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I also tried with portable Edition of Audacity and it's the same !

Thank you in advance if someone has a solution !

It's a problem with your Windows / Memory

Get in touch with Microsoft.

They would have a better idea of the errors

My Win7 64 bit machine has a series of recent updates for 5/15/19. I just updated to the latest version of Audacity and it started up without problem. If you haven't yet, you might try a complete uninstall of Audacity and then reinstall. Probably might be a good idea to check when uninstalled that the Audacity folder is cleared out.

Hello,
thank you for your precisions. So I tried to install an old version, the 2.10 and it does exactly the same thing. On the other hand, I did some cleaning on my HD and I removed what was in the "old Windows" folder. Maybe the problem comes from there. I will dig deeper.
Have a good day
