Hi, I want to use only 5 styles from a Expansion Pack.  I whish to use the custom voices of that style-pack. How can I see/check which voices are used for that particular style?
Thank for your help in advance,
My best regards,
Ton

Hello Ton,
I think, the simplest way (the way I do that) is, on keyboard I select particular style and then I check one by one, all 8 channels in style section. That is, at the moment you try to change the voice in style, you will see on screen what voice is currently used for that channel. At the same time it shows you where that particular voice resides (in keyboard or in pack you installed). Of course you do that for all style variations (A-D).
Then I do the same for OTS voices (1-4) and check voices used for R1, R2 and L. And that's it.
Of course one can do that on PC too.. -but one needs some some software, i.e. "StyleDump" by forum member M.Bedesem, and some knowledge about MIDI structure.

I hope that answers your question.
Greetings.

Just select the Icon under the style parts to see wich voice is use for that part.

Select Right voice
Set Menu > Voice number Show
To see the voice numbers.

I think the easiest way is to install the Expansion pack, play the styles one by one and take a look in the style channel which voices and drums they have used, note all the sounds in each style...and repeat the process with rest of the styles.

Open YEM and check those voices you have listed in the styles, if you're going to create a new package containing those voices the styles will play correctly.

Hi @Jan, I'm glad with your help. I have some of your great sounding packs with beautiful styles and voices, which I don't want to miss in my repertoire. In my former Tyros5 and Genos it was not a problem at all to load them all. But with the S770 I have to be selective, which is not a problem. Your guideline can help me out to do this. Thanks again!
My best regards,
