If you transferred the style to your keyboard's memory, you'll still need to do one more step before you can use it— you must "load" or "register" it. (Some models— including yours— call it "loading," while others call it "registering.") This is described on page 74 of your Owner's Manual.

Basically, the internal flash memory is like a computer's internal hard drive, and transferring a style file to your keyboard using the Yamaha MusicSoft Downloader just moves the file from your computer to your keyboard's "hard drive." In order to actually play the style, the PSR-E403 needs to open the file and read the entire contents of the file into the keyboard's system memory or "operating RAM." That is what the "Sff Load" function does. Once you've loaded the style this way, you can select it and play it just like one of the built-in styles.

Now, if you've tried to do that but the style file isn't showing up, it may be that the file is too large. The PSR-E models can load style files that are up to about 50 KB, but not larger. If it's a large file that can't be loaded, it won't even show up when you select the "Sff Load" function. It must also be in the SFF1 format, not the SFF2 format, although I believe it will still show up as long as it isn't too large. There are free utilities that can convert SFF2 styles to SFF1 styles, and which can also reduce the size of the file by removing any unusable sections.

Is it a style file that you got from here, or something else? I have a YPT-400, which is the same exact keyboard as the PSR-E403 but marketed under a different model name for export purposes. If you've tried to load the style as described on page 74 but it isn't working, I can help you convert the file, reduce its size, and revoice it as needed, as long as you can point me to where I can download the style in question or else if you can post it here (assuming it isn't a copyrighted style file that you've purchased).
