Hello, It's that possible on YEM? For example if I have an alto sax and tenor sax soundfont I Can import this two soundfonts to same custom voice but each soundfont on a different voice element?

Hi,
it's possible to import different sounds in 2 or more elements of a voice in Yem. But these sounds will play together except if you put selective velocity for each. It's the "Mega Voice "system.

Hi rodrigo.b,

no, you can NOT import two different soundfont files (.sf2) into ONE Custom Voice (into two different "Elements"), directly in YEM.

Direcly into one particular "Element" in YEM you can only import single Wave files.  But each "Element" of a single "Voice" normally consists of several Wave files (which also have to be "mapped" to particular key zones and/or velocity ranges).

It is also important to know that a single .sf2 file can consist of one ore more "Instruments" (Voices), and each "Instrument" in a .sf2 file can consist of one or more "Layers" (Elements).

To COMBINE two different .sf2 files you can use a PC program like "Awave Studio", "Viena" or "Polyphone". The edited .sf2 file (which contains both Voices on different Layers) can be imported into YEM, and you will find several "Elements" in that new Custom Voice in YEM, finally. :)

Awave Studio: http://www.fmjsoft.com/awavestudio.html#main

Viena SoundFont Editor (free): https://www.google.com/search?q=viena+soundfont+editor

Polyphone Soundfont Editor (free): https://www.google.de/search?q=polyphone+soundfont+editor

I recommend Awave Studio. It's a payed software, but it is also a DEMO version available. Many edit operations can also done with this DEMO version. The only thing is, you have to restart the program after each Save operation.

P.S.
If you want, I could copy these two voices into ONE .sf2 file for you. In this case, please just let me know here. :)

Best regards,
Chris
