Style Magic Tutorial.

I don't suppose there is a more basic Style Magic tutorial anywhere is there?

The ones that are available on YouTube are a bit too complicated for me.

It's complicated to make a style from a MIDI song file.  There is no way around it. I'll post a short tutorial I wrote  later today... I have to go out on business right now. My instructions includes a work sheet to make it a bit easier.

I use OMB (One Man Band) to make my SFF1 styles which is easier than in Style Magic. However Style Magic is a fantastic tool to finetune my OMB styles and make a conversion to SFF2 format.

I did look at OMB Pieter but I couldn't afford both of them so I chose Style Magic in the hope that I could master that one.

Here is the link to the StyleMagic documents that I put together. Sorry I won't be able to help you further than this.  There is a worksheet included that should make it easier to build a style. My process was to save the work at specific points and give the file a different name each time. That way you can go back if you make a mistake or want to change something in the style-creation process.

I no longer am building styles from MIDI song files because they are too simple for my needs. I'm trying to get Thomas to add a function to StyleMagic that would allow me to "Import" MIDI loops.  I think that is a better way to build styles.

Thank you very much for the tutorials they look very comprehensive and helpful.

I'm sure they will help others using Style Magic as well.

The loop idea is a good one, I hope Thomas can do that.
