Hello everyone, is it possible to activate a discussion on StyleMagic YA?

Dear everyone, good morning. I'm the lucky owner of the StyleMagic YA program. I must say that it is really a beautiful program. Too bad, however, that the instructions are almost exclusively for the real experts. I would need help. Is it possible to activate a discussion? Thank you all for your kind responses

I use StyleMagic everyday as one component to making song styles,

The instructions are not so clear when you first take a look but there are some videos out there that are better even though in Polish with English sub-titles.

What do you want to do with StyleMagic.?

I would be all up for a discussion of StyleMagic.  But I think it should be posted on a different board such as " Other Software".

StyleMagic has become a major piece of software.  But it has some shortcomings. As you mentioned, it is in need of better User Manual, and there is potential for more features to be added.  If many users could discuss ideas we could send them to Thomas for his concideration.

I'm using both MidiWorksYA and StyleMagicYA, and I can promise you those are the best worth money I've spent in ANY software, EVER!

Thomas is very helpful, you can just send him an email if you have any questions related to his software and get a reply very soon, as that happen to me few times.

thanks for your replies. I have many questions related to the software but let's start with only one first

I own a Yamaha Genos and I use it while connected via midi to my laptop running Stylemagic YA. The question is:

If I play chords on the Genos, can I listen live to the style changes in Stylemagic YA? I.e., how can I set my Genos to communicate via midi with Stylemagic YA in order to use the style I modified with the program (e.g., like connecting the Genos with an external arranger such as the MidiJPro Ketron)? Is it even possible?

Connect your keyboard with A USB cable to your PC
Same as connecting to your Ketron

Turn your keyboard ON and connected

Go to StyleMagic- Settings - instrument setup - Genos - USB audio Device

That's it, whatever StyleMagic pays will play through Your keyboard.

I don't think so. StyleMagic is a style player / editor only.

Ullo,
You load the style into StyleMagic for editing
If you want to edit some styles from your keyboard then
you have to save the style to a USB stick and transfer the stick to your PC

Or download styles from the internet or PSR Tutorilas to your PC
I have all the styles saved on my PC from many Yamaha keyboards.

What do you want to do with StyleMagic ?
Maybe I can answer better that way.

I understood. It cannot be done. I know that it is a style editor but I hoped to drive it thanks to my keyboard to listen to my new style live.
However, thanks to all... I am preparing other questions ....

Within a short time I'll ask you all new thechnical aspect of  StyleMagic.... hope you'll have the patience to answer...

If you made a style on your keyboard then I would stay with Style Creator.

This is the way I edit styles or make song styles

1  I make almost everything in my PC sequencer

2  Then move to Stylemagic  for the style sections and CASM etc

3  then transfer to my keyboard for the final mixing.

The only help I had with stylemagic was from the YouTube videos

Thx Pino. I do the same more o less. I created several styles from midi file. When I want to create a new one I try to use Nuendo.

It's no so easy but.... I try.
