Yamaha's PERFECT style .. really?

I was searching the Yamaha site for some interesting Country new styles that they might have for sale. Sadly it is almost impossible to find anything at their site. I went through 14 pages of the 33 they have and only found 5 real country styles listed and of those only 2 of them were COUNTRY styles. Rockabilly ain't country.

Anyway I am working up a custom style for the song PERFECT and Yamaha is offering this style up to do the song:

https://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/style-files/perfect-6-8-6

This style is NOT for the tune PERFECT, it might work for the tune, "Love On The Brain".

I was really disappointed with the whole set up of their STYLES shop. They need to pin each style they have to a couple tunes that they had in mind when they created the style. Then make those TUNE names sort able, so I could find some thing useful. The short sound clips were totally useless to me.

They need some better marketing, if they want to really sell those styles. ::)

Hello Drake. I agree. That Perfect style gave me a headache!
For me it would be helpful if they put the styles into categories. The soundclips were OK, but it didn't always work.
And no, Rockabilly ain't country! BASTA!  :)

Maybe it is an older style and they thought better refer to the newest hit first,Drake.
If you delete the guitar and change the drums is fine for "perfect" also.

Not easy to search in the site indeed.
The search machine there doesn't find any differences between the words "valse" and "r'n'b"  ;D

It seems they don't mind a lot about creating styles for particular songs.
I don't know if there any royalties they have to pay for each song to do that.

Hi Drake, i've made this one from the midi; perhaps you can adjust it on your KB, all the best Patrick

Hi Drake,

that is not new to me !!!!!!!!!

Yamaha styles are only good for the October beer festival Munich !!
Without the help of the forum friends, I would have sold my keyboards for
whatever and started to play my guitar again.

Looking forward to hear Perfect from you and recommend a duet  :) :) ;) ;)

When I recorded this one recently I used a converted Genos 12/8 pop ballad, but I will try the styles posted here tonight when I have downloaded them.

I just listened to Perfect and the style is nothing more than a standard 6/8 which primarily uses a guitar as the lead voice instead of the traditional piano voice used back in the late 50s and 60s. It would be fairly easy for you to create this style using the onboard style creator program and just substituting a guitar for the piano.

Good luck,

Hi guys,
I have made some months ago a cover for the song "Perfect" from Ed Sheeran using a factory style from my PSR-S770. Down you have a link. Check it out and say your opinion about what I played and the style from Yamahamusicsoft.
