"New" features of the S975....?
Two potmeters for special effects...? The S970 had this allready.
Two inputs for pedals and a control wheel for effects ... The PSR2000 allready had this.
Sorry Yamaha ... I mis the controls by touchscreen and the sliders on this one.
OK some new (rebuilded) styles but that's all.
A bit more for much more money again :'(

A nice keyboard for Discomusic :-)

Hi Ernie my friend,

Ernie,

There are a LOT more Voices and 50% more memory for expansion packs plus a couple of added features like half-bar fill in, Lagato, and now you can save the arpeggio settings a registration.  It's just a supercharged S970...  or you can think of it as a S970 Deluxe.

It's a PSR-S970 + 5, so it isn't as dramatically different as a PSR-S970 + 10 or a PSR-S970 + 20 would have been. ;)

You just need to decide if the + 5 is enough of a (small) step up for you, or if you want to wait for the next model and climb up more steps in one stretch.

I think that Yamaha releasing the S975... looks like the company made a BIG mistake with the S970.  It is just a lot of corrections that could have been done with firmware except for the increase in expansion memory. Why buy another whole keyboard for a few fixes.

I would not buy the S975 having just bought the S970.  Like others... I'll wait for the next S9xx replacement.  We know that these fixes will be on the next PSR arranger and probably a few more enhancements as well.

Hi all.Is the keybed action still the same as the S970 or is it like the Tyros series?

Joe H

The S970 has the so called soft-touch "organ keys".  They are not the quality of the Tyros or Genos.

Does the S975 have the same touch as the S970? I have had the S970 & it felt so much cheaper than all Tyros keyboards which I know is reflected in the price.
