Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, but hope it helps, I have owned a PSRS910 for a few years and decided to buy a mic to add to the fun. when it was plugged in, nothing, it's as if the new mic was not being noticed by the S910. I tried the mic on my phone and it worked fine. also I bought another mic and same thing, nothing.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what is the solution.  Thannks

Hello :) Have you looked at the back of the keyboard. There is two small knobs there, one for adjusting the light/contrast on the screen, and one for microphone gain. Try to turn the microphone gain up and see if the sound will come. :)

Ernie, what is the make and model of the mic and if it works/fits your phone, does it have a 3.5mm (1/8") plug on it that you're using an adapter to plug into the keyboard? Some mics that have 3.5mm plugs may need power supplied from the device they are plugged into which the phone may do. The keyboard can not provide this type of power

Ernie, give us the make and model of the mic and we'll figure it out for you ASAP.

DonM

Sounds as if it may need phantom power.

Make sure the plug is a mono plug.

I suspect you are using the wrong adapter cable, or as DonM says, the mic may require phantom power.
