Hello Friends,
How do we edit or copy a multipad ? I wanted to create a  custom multipad , picking one instrument from 4 different pads and combine into one pad basically wanted to avoid switching to 4 different pads while playing..
Is this possible ? Please advice.
Thank you,

Arnak

Hi Linson,

I would suggest trying Padmaker :-

That may do what you require.

Hi Martin, Thanks for the response. Pad maker can be used for creating pads from style file and I used a lot. What I am looking for is to edit a pad or copy a pad to another pad picking tracks from one to another?
Thank you.

May be this could work.

Save the PAD to *.mid
Open it in a DAW
Modify / copy it
Save it as MIDI format 0
Rename it back to *.pad

Hello Wim, I am not much familiar with DAW. Can you please explain how can I run DAW?
Thank you,

You haven't said what keyboard you are using, but on my Tyros4 (and I suspect on all Tyros models, most PSR-S models, and Genos), there is a way of combining individual pads from multiple banks on the keyboard.

The procedure is usually explained in the relevant Reference Manual rather than the Owner's Manual, and is variously referred to as 'Multi Pad Editing' (Tyros & PSR-S950), and 'Editing Multi Pads' (Genos).

So if you download the relevant Reference Manual and use the PDF reader's search function with something similar, you should find it.

The procedure is named a little confusingly since it does not actually allow editing of the note pattern and data in an individual pad.  What it actually does is to allow copy/paste/delete/name functions of the individual pads making up a bank, which is what you want to do.

1]  Load a bank containing one of the pads that you want to combine, and copy it.

2]  Select and load the bank that will be the final 'combined' one and paste the previously copied pad to it.

3]  Now you must save the bank since you have to load the bank containing the next pad that you want to combine and this will overwrite the new bank unless it is saved.

4]  Repeat from 1] for the remaining pads that you want to include in the 'combined' bank.

It needs a bit of button pushing to combine several pads like this, but as long as you are methodical and remember to save the 'combined' bank after pasting each copied pad to it, you shouldn't have any problems.

Tyrosaurus is right.Thats the easiest way to create multipads on your Psr s950.
Here is a tutorial in german but I hope it helps with the auto translation or not.
