Style creator and voices

Hello all,

I created a style using style creator, and used it with registrations.
In the registration, I changed the voices of some parts of the style.

When I go back into the style creator, I have the feeling that all my current voice choices replace the original one not only in the current selected section (A,B,C,D, fill in, break, ...) but everywhere.
So when I save the Style and, then, come back into registrations that use the original voice stored in the style, this voice is finally changed....

Perhaps I'm wrong somewhere.

Could you tell me,
if it's possible in a style that each section has its own choice of voices ?
if it's possible to manage these different choices correctly with Style creator ?
if it's possible the voice choice of the current registration doesn't automatically replace the current choices as soon as we enter the Style Creator ?

Thank you in advance.
Soundphase.

Yes it is possible to have each voice different in any or even all of the MAINS.

You first have to Select your Style.
OPEN the Style Creator program.
Then select the MIX/EQ button.

Now when you change the VOICE or the VOLUME level only the channel you are working on changes.
Make your changes and SAVE it with a NEW NAME (in case you make a mistake).

If you don't open the Style Creator FIRST you are making global changes to the whole style.

Thank you Drake, but I'm not sure to understand you correctly or you understood my issue.

I know that in the registration we can change predefined style parts individually.

My issue is, when we do such change and then, from this registration, we open the style creator, it seems to me that changes in the registration are automatically took into account in the style creator for all the sections. If we then save the style, we lose the previous configuration.

I explained how to set up the style if you want to edit one part of it.

As far as registration changes Fred is the guy you want to answer you. I don't use registrations that much.

Just keep in mind: registration memorizes style changes (settings) that you made manually before storing the registration.
Always when you open a style in Style Creator, the current style settings will be applied/shown. It doesn't matter if you changed voice or volume of particular track manually just before entering Style Creator, or if that change was made by registration.

Note: only style settings are saved into registration -actual style isn't changed. If you wish to open the actual style (used by that registration) in Style Creator, then you need to re-load that style (by selecting the same style again).

I hope that was of some help.

To be honest Bogdan, even if I think things could and should be like what you say, I'm not sure the style creator opens with the stored configuration and not with the current configuration (the one used in the registration). That could also be interesting the style creator allows to easily store the current settings.

But I'm surely wrong. I will make some basic tests starting from a blank style. It will be easier to verify

When using style creator go to menu, then mixer you can alter voices and eq there.
Make sure you save and add a 1 next to the new style so you can hear the original style and amended style.
Style magic is also great for creating and editing styles
