Hey! I'm trying to dump the Flash ROM on my CVP-301 and I'm not completely sure where to start.

The service manual contains the pinouts for the ROM which helps greatly when it comes to dumping, but I'm just not sure how to completely approach the topic. I found out that the model flash ROM (MBM29PL12LM10PCN-K, the MAIN 128M) is the same chip used in the PSR-1500, so it could be valuable info if someone has ever messed with the internals of the PSR-1500/3000.

These chips are only supposed to last 10-15 years as far as I know, and I want to preserve as much as I can about the CVP-301 before it inevitably breaks down. My model is over 20 years old now, and it has meant a lot to me in my life. It has harbored my passion for music, and I can't thank Yamaha enough for making these quality digital pianos. Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I collect keyboard factory demos. If you manage to access the ROM and send me the MIDI files of the CVP-301 demos, I'd really appreciate it.

I'll let you know if I do! Currently I believe I have to go out and buy an EEPROM programmer for it and haven't done so yet
