Title: Genos 2 Key Length
Post by: swgosnell on Apr 14, 2024, 09:03 AM
I am considering purchasing a Genos 2, but can't find a store in my area that has one on the floor to look at.  One of my questions is in regard to key length.  While there is no industry "standard" key length, most pianos and weighted key keyboards have keys that are roughly 6" long.  Many synths have keys that are shorter to varying degrees (most common is 5" keys).  Does anyone know how long the Genos 2 keys are?  (I'm emphasizing length because I am less concerned about key width or gap.)

Around Five and three quarter inches.

My PSR - S950 keys are the same length 5-3/4" long from the base of the key panel surface. I guess that is just a Yamaha standard.

The black keys are 3-1/2" long.

And WELCOME to the forum "swgosnell"
