Title: Voice French Musette- Yamaha Psr S650 - help
Post by: adair on Jul 13, 2020, 01:10 PM
I am looking for a special voice for my psr S650. This is the French Musette. I would like to buy the Pack or download it from a website.
On the S650 it has Musette but it is not the same sound as the French Musette. If any friend can help me thank you very much

Hi adair,

the Voice Set file (.vce) linked by Bruce calls up the Preset Voice #000-119-022 "FrenchMusette" of the PSR-S950.

You can try this file on the S650. But there is no Accordion Voice in that XG Bank (#000-119) on the S650. Problably, the S650 will automatically call up another Voice (using the Voice settings of that .vce file). If this is not the sound you are looking for, I recommend the following:

Use a Preset Accordion Voice in Right1 (e.g. #269 "Musette") and either the same or a different Accordion Voice in Right2. Then go to "Mixing Console > Tab Tune" and use the "Tuning" parameter to tune Right1 slightly higher (e.g. +15) and Right2 slightly lower (e.g. -15). This will increase the speed of the  so called "Tremolo", which is an important part of a French Musette Accordion sound.

Finally memorize your new sound settings to a Registration.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
