Deane,

This video was posted some time ago.  The guy has been called a genius.  He plays the accordion and has turned several keyboards into suitcase sound modules. He modified his accordion also to select registrations I believe.

This might open up a new line of business for Yamaha and others . . . .

Sound modules for instruments other than keyboards . .   .with the same styles and registrations, etc as the keyboards.

Yamaha could have made modules anytime, and it has been discussed many times on the forum over the years, but the  module route has never had commercial appeal for Yamaha. And they are probably right. Ketron already make something like this, and while they have sold, it seems to have a limited niche market.
