Wow, never again a gig without them, and pair with Sx 900, it really make my day. I thought my Sony was good, which they are of course, but I must say, this is in another league.

How big was the Venue?
Indoor or outdoor.
How many people in the room? If indoors.
A good set of Logitech's is the next best thing to a P.A.

Indoors and approximately 60 people. More than enough punch for dancing as well. My bose L1 remained in the car.

Absolutely ;D
Thanks for the clarification!.
Yes .... as per other threads .... i have BANGED on about Logitech
I have 623 + 906 sets use individually or paired with a simple hub connector
Cheap as chips and THX certified ... the Woofers on em are super even stand alone with the SX
would not let mine go - even with my cheap entry model Korg EK50 they a revelation
I also have a small set of 333's ( £30 if you shop around ) which just give a nice little boost and surround spread for a small room - ok the tweeters on this model are fake but the mid range and woofer are still very good .
Keith
Are you talking about the Z623, which are around $100 US?
How can they have that kind of power / quality sound?
Lee
Yes .... and in combo with SX they are pretty amazing as Ingar says.
I was Gobsmacked by the clarity and quality ( they are THX cert. so that should tell you something! ) - and very portable ( only 3 pieces ) . The 906 are bigger ( 500W ) but being 5 pieces are not as conv. for gig work I imagine.
Everybody has their own favs. but i have used Logis for 10 years for ALL my boards and NEVER been happier.
Keith
Wow, OK, Thanks

I would get some for my music room except I can't get the Z2200s to quit working. :) They are at least 10 years old. Z5500s, about the same; they are in the living room for surround sound.
I did some small jobs with them some years ago and they are quite good. I put a handle on the sub for easier carrying, and velcroed the control to the top of the sub.
Tez - Sure you will bee DELIGHTED ....you got a great buy at that price !! and better than used as you never know with used/b.grade if they have been worked hard.
Cant recom. enough....ok you can get as good / much better but not for the price! Its hardly more then the cost of a decent meal out!! you will enjoy years of use and you can of course also use with so many things Ie. PC etc.
I also have the 5.1's ...Z906 as well just the dogs !! only cost £139 new!
Keith
Thanks
Keith l will give them ago then possibly get the z906 as you said £139 new good price
I have the tyros 5 speakers new in box never opened
Thanks terry
I have the Z-2300s as a home speaker, and I used to use them for digital piano monitors. Now I have Yamaha HS8 monitors.
They would be perfectly adequate for a small audience, but years ago I used them at a small outdoor gig thinking 200W is a lot. I wasn't able to meet the volume requests. The same with a few larger indoor gigs.
I've used the subwoofer as sound support for my PSR at home, and it's perfect for that.

Take a look at this video...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnMkooPkGfo
it looks great for the price . . .
how do you connect to the back of the monitor . . . what type of cable or adapter ?
thanks
Monitor?? Not quite sure what you mean...
They simply have a mini stereo jack connection which you can then connect to audio out on the SX with an adaptor lead ( loads of combination leads are available ) or justheadphone out if you want to mute onboard speakers using a large to small jack adaptor ..
The SX has several audio out options and likewise the logis have several in ... So I just played around and found what suited me best ...
I tend to practice with the onboards myself and just keep the l/r jack's ln but not fully inserted, simply plugging in only when using the logis... We're all different
Sorry . . . i meant keyboard. Not monitor . . .
You already explained . . . an adapter . . .
thanks

If you connect Logitech to head phone out (in front) you also can use sx 900 integrated speakers.
Hi
I have been using the Z5400 THX. for over 4 years
bought them second hand off E-Bay cost me £13.01p (although had to travel 20 miles to fetch them ;))
5 speakers system.
They sound good to me.
I play only at home using Tyros 4
They are much better than the Tyros 4 speakers.
regards
Arthur
Using headphone out will mute onboard speakers. I personally prefer rear output jacks as I use 2 sets of logis connected with a little hub which provides several outputs. I suppose you could also plug headphones into hub and use when logis are off.
These cheap mini jack hubs are great and can connect several audio things together. They only cost around £3 .... very handy gismo .buy em anywhere like eBay etc. Ok
Search this on eBay .... I love em ... Not fair for me to post a direct link but loads to choose from and cheap as chips ...Yamaha could give em away with boards ....
AUDIO SPLITTER AUX JACK HUB 3.5MM HEADPHONE HEADSET EARPHONES ADAPTER 5 WAY
Just use a r/l lead out to a stereo mini into one of these and it provides 4 stereo outputs ....no brainer I find
I used the Z5500 for a couple years on the senior circuit, more than adequate. A word of caution, though. DO NOT place the remote control receiver on top of the sub woofer, especially at high volumes - the deep vibrations of the sub will destroy the receiver. How do I know this, I blew out 2 of them. Logitech replaced the first one at no charge under warranty, however, the second one was a couple years old so no freebee. The service tech guy filled me in on why both of them were blown out. Keep in mind this thing is 1,100-watts peak power and 505-Watts RMS power.
Good luck,
Gary

You can use on board speakers and headphone out. I've done that for years. On sx 900..Menu...Menu2...Utility...Speakers/connectivity...Speaker on.
Ingar
Thanks for that - I will try it .....I NEVER realised
More reasons i should keep an eye on this forum !! Sharing info and ideas is so good
