I have recently acquired "SongBook+" and believe it is possible to set up with an IPad Air2 so that when you call up a registration, "SongBook+" will automatically show the PDF sheet music file.
I have looked at the "SongBook+" instructions but can't find out how to do this and how to set up the MIDI connections in both Genos and SongBook+ in IpadAir2.
Can anyone help with this please.

Fred is the guy to talk to, he's been helping people for years. I don't use Songbook, so I can't help you.

It would be useful to know how your iPad and the keyboard are connected. But once they are, the procedure is:
1. Load your registration.
2. Load your sheet music in SongBook.
3. Press the ellipses (...) at the top of the screen.
4. Press Now link the song
Hope this helps,
Fred
I am getting the following error message when trying to link my Genos registration bank with the same file in SongBook+. ERROR WHEN LINKING TO YAMAHA REGISTRATION BANK
Genos is showing as IP address 192.168.0.1 but the channel is set on CH11 I've tried changing to match SongBook+ it but it doesn't work.
The settings show in SongBook+ as host 192.168.0.1 port 5004 ch1
I am not sure how all the other switches should be set in SongBook+
Can anyone enlighten me as to why I am getting this error message please?
Graham
Usually you get that error message when the iPad is NOT connected to the keyboard.
How are you connecting the iPad to the keyboard ? there are several ways. . . .
One is physically via a so-called 'printer cable'. Another one is wireless via a bluetooth adapter, etc.
You need to establish a connection between the iPad and the keyboard before you can link your SongBook+ entry to the Genos registration.
It seems like your iPad and Genos are not talking to each other due to lack of connection.
Hope this helps.

Graham,
As we said, it would be useful to know how the iPad is connected to the keyboard. Just so you know, it can't be done with wi-fi.
Fred
Ah! right Fred, that's the problem then, I was trying to use WIFI, so I will get myself an MDBT-01 and go down the Bluetooth root, and I'll proberbly be coming back when I'm having trouble connecting that......problems, problems.
I'll get there eventually.
Thanks Fred
Best Wishes

I'm using a lightning usb 3 to camera adapter from Apple it does the job first time everytime. I tried WiFi but find it easier to use the cable.

Thanks for that Steve, but I have already ordered the Bluetooth adapter now, so I will give that a go.

Thanks Pino for your information but I have ordered the blue tooth adaptor YAMAHA MD-BT01
So I am not sure what the settings will be for that, or will they be the same?
