The 2020 Christmas concert included 27 artists that gave us 168 songs performed on a dozen different Yamaha keyboards. We will sponsor another Christmas Concert for 2021.  The actual concert page will go up on the main site some time in November.

If you would like to contribute one or more songs to the concert, you can post a link here or simply email me an MP3 of the song.  If your song is a YouTube video, know that I need the MP3 to post it on the Christmas Concert page so it can be played there.  But it will also be possible to provide a link to the YouTube video.

The Christmas 2019 board is still up here, but that will be removed at some point.  All those 2019 songs, however, are still available on the main web site.

Is it possible to have the "NEW" symbol only appear when the music is new rather than every time someone makes a comment?  I really, really like this page but nearly every performance is labeled "new" when in fact only the replies are new.

And a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too Joe.

The code that generates the "new" symbol is embedded in the Simple Machines Forum software we use.  I've not looked into altering the code before, but to my recollection, no one has ever raised this question before.  I'm certain we wouldn't want to make this change universal, so altering the code to give you a choice would probably not be practical.

Remember, the entries here are submissions to the Christmas 2021 concert page located on the main PSR Tutorial web site:

The most recent songs are located at the top of the list.

Many thanks to the 20 forum members who contributed to the 2021 Christmas concert.  There were also 17 PSR Performers who also contributed songs.  The 144 songs provided over 7 hours of holiday music.

I've created the 2021 Songs collection now that we are in 2022.  It has 376 songs for the year including the 144 from the Christmas Concert.  44 artists are included in the 2021 collection.

The MP3 songs in 2021 were only half of what they were in 2020 and 2019.  In today's music world, I suspect folks prefer to post songs on YouTube with links in the forum.  Although I do get new PSR Performers.  Three were added in 2021 and four in 2020.  And new visitors are always discovering the PSR Tutorial web site. But perhaps the value of  the PSR Performer section is fading away.

Of course, the PSR Performers have added only 20 new midi files in the last 6 years so this format is hard to come by.

Thanks Joe! I think the Performers pages are very useful for many. I always listen to how others here have played a song before setting up my own arrangement! Have learned a lot this way😀
