Show detected chord as sharp instead of flat

This should be pretty basic but I'm not finding it in the SX720.

When I press a black key, the chord detection area shows for example "E flat", but I would like it to show "D sharp". How do I change this?

Welcome to the forum.

You can't change the behavior you describe. And it's not always the same, but depends on what you played before.

Example 1: G > Fb > Eb
Example 2: C > F# > D#

The reason for this lies in music theory. The SX720 tries to guess which scale you are playing.

There are conventions in music which indicate the best note name to be used depending on the context, eg sharp keys would avoid using flat note names, and vice versa ; direction of playing - use a sharp when moving up, flat when moving down. I think the algorithms in the keyboard are mostly programmed to follow these conventions, but the rules can get a little hazy when naming chords as opposed to individual notes. The keyboard doesn't always detect chords And of course C is neither a sharp or flat key. So is it Eb7 or D#7 when playing in C ??.
They are only conventions, there are really no absolutes. But whatever it is, as Kurt correctly says, it's set by the algorithms and you cannot change it.
But why does it matter? The keyboard shows what you are already playing, that's all, so it doesn't really affect anything.
