Hello.     I have a style "A Whiter Shade" where in Variation D the Right 2 voice has a beautiful sounding Classic Jazz OrganFlutes voice.
        My SX700 has only a preset Classic Jazz(#000 117 017).  The one in the style has (#000 126 017).

I like the punch/volume/sound of this so I copied it to my USER area, however it sounds different with much less volume and has "no" voice number
       assigned.
I tried the voice volume of my default Classic Jazz(which has no (Organflutes), it has the same volume of 124 defaulted which of course I can change if I
wish, but does not sound a nice as the one in the style. .
Note that the EQ Panel settings for the voices are identical and set at 99

So I went into Voice Edit and set all the parameter values exactly as they are in the one from the style but, made no difference. WHY?

I did notice something that I do not understand. When I go into the Menu Voice Edit on the voice in the style, my screen is populated with an image
of the organ settings with sliders and knobs.  When I go into the Menu Voice Edit for the one I copied to my USER memory, it too reflects the same image.

Now when I go to the Menu Voice Edit on the default/preset Classic Jazz of the keyboard, the image is different. It shows 2 pages of options and
on the left side it has categories for Common, Controller, Sound, Effect &  EQ.

Why do I not get the image with the organ sliders and knobs?

Your help to understand this behavior will be appreciated.

              Regards,  dom

Hi Dom

I'm not an expert be any criteria, however -
You cannot COPY voices from one keyboard to another. The VCE file is a small file of instructions how to modify the voice of the original voice. It will not modify a default voice on another KB.
Again, the difference in screens that you see is the same result. It shows the screens for the default voice NOT the one from your other KB.

hi dom,

SX700 has both voices:
#000 117 017 ClassicJazz -in Organ section
#000 126 017 ClassicJazz -in Legacy->Organ section

ClassicJazz (#000 126 017) is a special type of voice and has "OrganFlutes" writing above his name. OrganFlutes voices don't have standard editing settings -they only have settings specific for "pipe organ".
Btw. When we save the voice (after editing), then voice number is not visible anymore. That's because we actually don't save the voice itself -we only save voice settings.

An OrganFlutes voice does not have a rotary speaker DSP effect "built in" to the sample. It needs a DSP to add this (and results in a much better sound). You probably need to add the DSP to the organ part in the style, bearing in mind the SX700 only has the single variation effect available for style parts.
