How to View Voices stored in a commercial style

Hi, Does anyone know how can I view the above.
Every time I try to view one of these voices (through Style creator or through the mixer), the main screen always ends up showing me my user voice folder.
I've unlocked the style and still no change.
The voice used in the style is not a "standard" voice for my keyboard (a sx920) so I'm assuming that it's stored in the style file itself.
Thank you for any insights into this.

All the voices played on a style on your keyboard come from your keyboard. They cannot be 'transferred' from another keyboard. No sound is ever transferred in a style file, only digital data. But the voices can be digitally modified so they sound different with different effects than your standard voice. If a style calls up a voice that does not exist on your keyboard, it will default to one of your voices.

I have some commercial styles, the voices show up on my screen, or if missing I get the greyed out ------ to show a missing voice. Maybe investigate the various mixer settings / effects for the voice to see how it's been adjusted.

Styles-24. With the titles I selected I got the registration, style and midi and they have a YouTube demo to watch so you know what you're getting, useful if there are several versions of a title. And it can be used for practise too. Very good service also.

I've also shopped at Guests are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login, but not yet for this keyboard so they're older styles but work fine for me... and I still like the same stuff.  ;D  These had midi, style and PDF (and sometimes pad) so you get different things from different places, you need to read to see what each offers.

There's a post on the forum from a month or so back with a few other places named, have a little search.

But if you just want styles, do check out all the free styles available in the main PSRTutorial site, there are loads of good ones there too, worth collecting.  It would be my first stop, before buying.

Hi Luc.

I think you bought a style (or multiple) which used some custom voices. Which means, if you want to use the original voices (those which was made the style) you need to ask the seller for them.
You can also open the style in some software to see exactly what was the MSB:LSB:PC of the voice on a channel.
What means that? It means that on some LSB (pack location in your installation - see Yamaha Expansion Manger) you need to have some voice at certain position (PC). However, this MSB:LSB:PC could be from a Yamaha pack on the market. So, you must find them.

A better solution IMO, is a style software (you can use Jorgen's Guests are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login) which can display these group of numbers (MSB:LSB:PC), which you must then send to the seller and ask it for them. Probably, he should sell also with voices, if he used custom voices and not keyboard internal ones. If he does not want to share those voices along with style bought from him, then you probably must find some voices which can play correctly the midi information you have on each channel, depending on what was written there: drums, bass, guitars, pianos, strings, etc.

I hope I made myself clear.

Regards,
Vali
