SA2 Pan Flutes for Genos 2

I would like to have a better sounding and more "responsive" (e.g. with aftertouch) pan flute on my Genos 2 than the ones originally included.
I found free pack named SA2 Pan Flutes for Genos/Tyros5 - it can be found here: Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login
It cannot be imported to YEM for my Genos2 (it says I do not have a keyboard compatible with this sound-pack.
Is there any way how to add the (these) SA2 voices originally made for Genos1 to Genos2?
Or - do you know about any Pan flute option with more articulation possibilities - e.g. with aftertouch modulating "vibrato", etc?

Thank you very much in advance!

There is a standard Yamaha expansion pack for Genos 2 (I think it's « The Genos complete pack » you can download here - look at the first thread) that includes sa2 pan flute, sa2 female vocal, sa2 trombone

Dear soundphase!
Thank you a lot! I found it - they are actually two different SA2 pan flutes in Genos2 Complete Pack - PanFluteLatin, and PanFluteBallad. So I tested them. Unfortunatelly, even if they respond to aftertouch and apparently have all the nice features that SA2 offers, I simply do not like them - compared to original already present in Genos 2. They lack the "drive", do not sound natural to me, Ballad is extremelly soft (partly because of reverb), Latin is sometimes off-tune (apparently some feature of SA2) and overblows very easily when played a bit harder. This is obviously strongly personal - so maybe other people may find it nicer for their purposes.
I found several other PanFlutes in the free Yamaha Genos2 packs - but all of them are far worse than the original one.

Is there any way how to edit the sound (e.g. of original PanFlute) to add aftertouch or expression pedal to modify e.g. vibrato of the sound? It seems to me as an important feature of this kind of instrument to reproduce faithfully its sound/capabilities.

Or does anyone know about some other Pan flute on the market?

Thank you in advance!

Hello, you would have to manipulate the flute's ppf file in the expansion manager (only what is in ppf is possible!)

Hi,

You can download and try this PanFlute voice:
Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

It uses the internal PanFlute (so not the SA2 Panflute) and adds a little aftertouch volume boost. I've edited a very long time ago on the Tyros 3 and still love to use it on my Genos 2.

You can simply copy this file to a USB stick and load it into the Genos 2. You don't have to use the Yamaha Expansion Memory for this voice.

There are also pan flute sounds in the Church&XMas expansion pack

Dear robbiedoes! Thanks a lot for your interesting panflute modification. I tried it and like it a lot! But - also as some other Aftertouch (AT) instruments - it has a weird audible sound when pressing AT on my Genos2. It is quite noticeable in middle octaves and almost not audible in higher ones (these panflutes are unfortunatelly unusable in low octaves - but they exist some bass panflute libraries). Do you know what I am talking about? Is there a way to avoid it?

Also - I made my own modification of SA2 ballad panflute. Unfortunatelly it is not possible to make too many modifications on SA2 instruments (most of the options are "grayed out" when editing the sound. So I only made some tweaks o make it more "vivid" and lowered the overblow effect when the keys are pressed faster. Is the only way how to present the file on this forum to save it somewhere else and put a URL here?

The S.Art2 Pan Flutes now merged into Genos Complete Pack as a free expansion pack for Genos2.
