Checking cables

Reading through some older posts from 2024, this one got my attention. A member having problems with a mic cable.

I'd like to share information on a continuity tester that I carried in my gigging bag.
My cables were always checked before a gig, but if someone else wanted to plug-in to my mixer
I always checked their cables. It's old now, but I replaced the battery, gave it a wipe-over - good as new.
Just put one end of the relevant cable in one-side and the other end in the opposite side.
