Quote from: aprilla on Feb 27, 2025, 04:51 PMIt sounds ideal. I was following a post lately where they discussed how 'noise' is actually preventing people from being able to practise or even perform at home. It's hard to believe neighbours, even strangers, would prevent a child (or anyone) from learning or practising but it's happening.

People are reasonably tolerant here. We have a very diverse commmunity. Last summer on the green area at the end of the street we had a Ghanaian traditional celebration for the harvest (in Ghana). Flags, traditional costume, the duty Police enjoying themselves, food and music. The only irritants are (1) the motorised Police with their sirens - we are very close to a Police HQ - and (2) a guy who sells ice-cream from a van/truck. I have a sound meter app on my phone and his loudspeakers are pumping-out over 90 Db, so bad it is very distorted. I told him about the distortion but was ignored. I always practice using headphones with the sound unit from my door bell in my pocket.

Music practice is legitimate -  some people would ban singing in the shower!

I discovered this feature today, it's very handy for some pieces. I tried it out and it works nicely with my foot pedal, I only had to change the Pedal settings to be " Choose Activate Next Link or Go To Next Page. "
