Hi, I'm gonna record a song and there is a short part (3-4 bars) that I would like to record in a slow tempo for the song to sound good (I don't have the skill to play that part in real speed ).
Is it possible to do that and in case how to do it?

I would use registrations. Set up regs with the tempo you want, and switch when needed.

Thanks for your tip, I just wanna make myself clear that I am talking about a Song that I have recorded in tempo 160 bpm and now I'm gonna make a NEW layer to the Song.
There are two small occasions (just 3-4 bars), one in the middle of the Song and one at the end of the Song, where I have to slow down the speed from 160 bpm to 110 bpm of the already recorded Song so I will be able to record a proper new layer. At the end the whole Song is supposed to run in 160 bpm.
Do you think that Registration is a method to use together with recording a new layers in a Song?

Hi,
as Fred said, the registration will serve as a change of tempo.
You can also access it in another way. Record the song at the same tempo and then correct the tempo in a program.

No. The registration idea was for live recording, not a separate layer.

I would record the whole song at 110, then edit the tempo in the midi file.

Thank you all for your answers.
This time I managed to solve the problem with hard training and play those parts in the new layer in 160 bpm but I am sure I will get into that situation in the future.
But your suggestion about record the Song in a low suitable speed at the beginning and then rec the layer correct. After that I can raise the tempo to where I want. 👍👍👍

You can record at full speed then playback at slower speed while using drop in/drop out record to record the difficult parts. Then save whole thing at full speed.

I will try that, maybe seems to be the easiest way to do 👍, thank you.

I have recorded a song at a lower speed but when I try to save the Song back to its higher normal speed it won't be saved at the higher speed. Could you give me a tip how to do that?

Are you recording it as a midi? That's what you need to do. You can't change speed of an audio recording.
