Tommarr

I purchased the strings from Soundpacks that Leigh demoed.

I have the .ppf file on a thumb drive, but can't figure out how to load onto Genos 2.

Can someone provide the exact steps.

Thank you!!

You need to import the .ppf file into YEM (Yamaha Expansion Manager) and then create an installation file to load into your G2. Remember, make sure you load ALL the expansions you want loaded into your G2 within the installation file as the install process will format your G2 drive which removes everything from the G2 before it installs what is in the installation file you have created. As far as I am aware there is no other way to install the ES2 other than via YEM.

After viewing Leigh's video, I decided to purchase Epic Strings for my G2.
I was on verge of buying a new Mac (10 years old).
My system met requirements for Epic, but I was unable to complete process.

I now have a powerful Mac Mini.

However...

Soundpacks uses a third party for downloads. My purchased is marked as 'Download has expired".
I appealed to soundworks to refresh the download so that I could access my purchase.

Their 'response' to date has been the worst - no reply at all.

If Leigh, or anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it!
I spent over $100 with this company. I am only asking to get what I purchased.

This experience makes me skiddish of purchasing from 'Styles' websites.

Thanks.

Hi Tommarr

I appreciate your frustration, however why not simply use the PPF file that you have saved to a USB. Load this into Yamaha Expansion Manager on your new computer.  Just make sure you use the most updated version of YEM.
