Lost One Touch settings

I seem to have lost "One Touch Settings" on quite a lot of my styles saved on Hard Drive and USB.
Probably one or even two on each page of eight. These are in both "music finder" files and saved files. The OTS BUTTON is illuminated but the four right hand Ots buttons stay blank. Pressing the OTS INFO SHOWS NONE OF THE FOUR VARIATIONS. THESE OMISSIONS don't follow any pattern. They are spread over many pages of saved styles. Is there any way I can reinstate or retrieve these settings.obviously allthe preset styles OTS work fine. Hope someone out there can advise.
Ps The only possible cause of this is when I deleted a USB stick using the keyboard. It hasn't affected anything else just random9 One touch settings

I don't think it's possible to lose OTS from a style. My bet is those styles never had OTS in the first place.

Fred

I would get Jorgen Sorenson's OTS editor from his website. Sadly you supposedly are not allowed to post any links on this forum so I can't direct you to the website. That software will not only show you what is in the OTS section of the style but also allow you to select Tyros 4 as the keyboard and add OTS voices.
Currently : Tyros 4 Keyboard    Previous Keyboards : SX900, S650, E-373 and S550

Who says you can't post links in a reply? I do it all the time.

Hi Fred,
I posted a link to another site to direct a user to a program they had interest in, and the link was broken on saving my post. But, I've also posted off site links to my files, and they are allowed to work. So perhaps it's not all links, just some links.... how to judge? I don't know, I don't think there's a list.

Frankly, I don't like that much, it gives me a bad feeling. We never had that sort of vibe here before.

@ChrisH ,
You're welcome to share links as long as they meet the forum rules.

So of course, you can share links to Jørgen's website or any other useful websites related to the yamaha keyboards.
We have never removed the links you shared before. Feel free to share useful resources.

Here the link to the OTS Editor of Jørgen's website:

The OTS is not a file. OTS is part of a style, is a chunk in the style file. So, if you really believe you lost them, this means you did something which erased them.
This can be posible but I think only if you use a software, like Jorgen's one or my Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login, by copying a OTS section from a style which has, lets say for example only OTS no. 1, to other styles in a folder. In this way you will make all the styles in that folder to have the same OTS section like your source style file.

Regards,
Vali

Thanks Alex, I do appreciate that but this is the link I offered which is directly to the program, maker and tutorial to help the poster with their request.

Try it, the link won't work. I didn't make a typing mistake, it must be being deliberately broken by the forum software, which isn't very friendly.

Link to the CV information requested

This happened to me after you removed the link to the PSRTutorial site via the Internet Archive, which I also didn't understand. This address might help a lot of people while we wait, maybe months, for the maintenance to be completed. Might remove some of the confusion and disappointment which I think is driving people away, and that makes me sad. I've been a member here forever, Supporting since 2004.

I want the forum, and the site, to continue to improve and grow and to be useful, and to feel good. I do accept it's different management, I'll continue to hope I guess.

Hi Fred. . The one touch settings were there. I've been using them for years. I do have a copy of these styles on my PC. If I change the faulty styles with my saved styles, will the OTS then transfer to my T4 ?

OTS is part of a style, so yes.

Hi @Technics,

Copy these styles from the PC to a USB stick and then test the styles on the Tyros4 directly from the USB stick. If they are the same styles, I'm pretty sure they also have the "OTS problems" you mentioned, because OTS are always part of the style file data.

OTS cannot be "accidentally" deleted from a style file, especially not directly on the keyboard, but only with external style editing programs on the computer.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)
