Hi,

Found this Yamaha site which finally officially provides expansion packs for their latest Genos 2 and SX920/720 keyboards.

Thanks for this link.

But still there is no "Country Musician" pack for the SX920 ::)

Hi Drake,

Most of these Genos2 / SX920 / SX720 packs are in non-protected PPF format. You can therefore also use the Genos2 version of the CountryMusician pack for the SX920. Only the included registration banks will probably not work on the SX900.

But you could try converting these registrations from Genos2 format to SX900 format using Murray Best's YRM program (V5.4), then they should also work on the SX920. If necessary, the modified registration bank files can then even be integrated into the CountryMusician pack in the YEM.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

I hope Genos2 have more premium packs included to the official Yamaha site, especially for modern music.

Thanks Chris, I got them this morning!

I did not know that the Country Musician G2 pack could be opened with the StyleExtractor program.  ;D

Thanks for your feedback, Drake!

Yes, while previous Premium Packs (Tyros5/Genos1) were in protected CPF format, the Genos2 Premium Packs are now in non-protected PPF format. This means that they can now also be used for SX models (except for the registrations and included S.Art2 voices), and the styles can now also be extracted directly from the PPF pack using the StyleExtractor program.

If necessary, you can even integrate edited styles back into the pack in YEM. (In this case, please export the changed pack in YEM as a PPF file and then, ideally, import the new PPF again.)

Best regards,
Chris

Hi @Fábio,

Yes, you are right. Unfortunately, some links on the "Voice & Style Expansion2" download page linked above are currently broken or not (yet) accessible.

But the "BrazilianPack 3" is also included in the "PSR-SX920,720_BonusExpansionPack4", which you can download via the following link:
>>> Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

Please note that this download is about 2.1 GB in size (contains 9 packs in total). You can see which other packs are included in this post:
>>> https://forum.psrtutorial.com/index.php/topic,70321.msg527473.html#msg527473

After you have unpacked the downloaded zip file on your computer, you will find the file "Brazilian3Pack_SX920&SX720.ppf" in the "BrazilPack 3" folder. This version should also work with Genos2. (There is obviously no special Genos2 version at the moment.) So please import this pack into the YEM as usual.

By the way, this zip file only contains the Excel (.xlsx) version of the "Brazilian 3" Pack List. You can download the PDF version of this list (which lists the included voices and styles) at the following link:

Hope this helps!
