KS-SW 100 and HS studio monitors

Hello all,

Is anyone able to confirm the following: I have 920 which will be connected to KS-SW100 Subwoofer. All good. I was thinking of adding HS studio monitors (7 or 8s) but it would appear that they cannot be connected to each other? Am I correct?
So this begs the question:
Can a sub be connected to a source (in this example a 920) independently from HS studio monitors, that is to say, the monitors will not be directly linked by cable to the sub, they will be plugged into the 920 independently?

I spoke direct to Yamaha tech support. I was right. Not compatible.
I will see what it sounds like = 920 + KS-SW100.
If I require further audio enhancement I will buy HS8/7 + HS8 Sub.
