Upper task bar says I have alerts, but none actually found

I haven't been on the forum much since it changed over, but as I have now logged back in, I am seeing that I have 2 alerts noted at the top of the screen (in the task bar with my UserID, "My Messages", and the search function), but when I click on that for details, it says that I have no alerts.  Am I missing something, or is this a possible bug?
