Hello Genos-User,

I have done an expansion package named "Ronny". I have installed this package into my Genos2.
The package sequence was: (1) Alpen Pack, (2) Celtic, (3) Cumbia, (4) Entertainer pack.
Now I do some registration which includes voices and styles from this expansion packages.

After a while i want to create a new expansion package named "Ronny2".

Here the sequence I add to this package is (1) Entertainer pack, (2) Salsa, (3) Celtic, (4) Fiesta Caliente, (5) Mexican Banda, (6) Alpen Pack, (7) Cumbia

My questions are:
-   Are the above registrations destroyed and no longer usable or have a wrong content or are the registrations still o.k. and have the same settings/content as before?

-   Is there an influence in which sequence I load the expansion in the expansion manager or are the names of the styles/voices important?

I hope I have described my problem clear.
I want to avoid, that I do a lot of work for my registrations and after a new expansion package my whole work is destroyed.
Maybe I can't remember the sequence I have done on my first expansion package.

Best regards Ronny

Hi Ronny,

That's right, the registrations from the first package will not be correct.

The order of installed packages is not tied to package names but to numbers (LSB)

New set of packs entered in YEM in different places (LSB) (5) Entertainer pack, (6) Salsa, (7) Celtic, (8) Fiesta Caliente, (9) Mexican Banda, (10) Alpen Pack, (11) Cumbia .

Watch a video that shows how you can change locations (LSB) inside YEM. (03:50)

You can install all of the above Packs at once. Together they are about 400 MB in size and you can add others as desired because Genos has 3 GB of memory.

Just a slight deviation from the OP -with the expansion manager I only ever get "unable to establish communication" when trying to load packs into my Genos2. Using either Digital keyboard 1 or 2 (the options that are available in settings) makes no difference.

USB driver is installed and I have re-connected the USB cable (several in fact) and still no connection can be made.

Any ideas on what I may be missing?

Hi Pax-

You only have two options, via the wireless connection or from a USB stick.  The USB is the best option.

Oh ok, thanks. I misread it then...I thought you could via USB cable as well, my bad.

So I'd need a WI-FI USB dongle then?

No, you need a regular USB stick to store the installation file on. You insert that USB stick into the keyboard and install all the Packs. Watch the video from this point on.
